Establishing Cyber Security Department in NTU 


For the first time in Iraq. The Northern Technical University establishes a department to study cybersecurity. 

Northern Technical University is one of only three Iraqi universities that established Cybersecurity Department in 2022 so, it is the first time that departments with this specialization have been established in Iraq.

Recently the world is moving towards the use of artificial intelligence and adoption entirely on computer technologies and storing information within cloud systems, so there is an urgent need to increase network and information security even further. Companies and institutions seek to find leaders in the field of cybersecurity, which qualifies you to work and be employed by the most important international companies. This department is one of the leading fields of technological development and the enormous electronic programming that our world is witnessing today.

In Northern Technical University, the program of Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing Engineering is based on the course system and extends for more than four academic years and awards a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies and Cloud Computing.
